Detox diets

…Imagine that you can eat whatever thing you like, add weight as you like and as well lose the excess weight as you wish…

Yes! I could hear you say that it is impossible.

I would have agreed with you if I really do not know about “Detox diets”.

Of course, you may have tried several detox diets, and it worked for you temporarily.

Temporarily, in the sense that you actually witness loss of weight. Though, the lost weight did not stay off as long as you wanted it to stay off.

It will not be surprising for me to know that; during one or two trials of your detox dieting, you nearly felt starved to death.

Many a time, we misunderstand the essence of detox diet on weight loss. While some other times, we carry it out improperly. Thus, leading to a failed weight loss program.

You really need to know these about detoxification with detox diets:

That;

–Detox diets, wrongly done, can’t give you weight loss

–Detox diets are not what you do all the time when you want to lose weight

–Detox diets, helps you to remove toxins from you body fat and systems. Thereby, making weight loss to be achieved easily.

–Detox diets is like a kick starter for weight loss process and not the totality.

I know at this point, you are already asking, “How then can I lose the 7-13Kg in 12 days with Detox diets?”

You are absolutely right to ask that question…But do not doubt the potential of Detox diets until I hint you on this secret.

…“And what is this secret?”

The Secret:

When you see adverts such as;

Lose 10kg in 4days” or “Shed of 12pounds and in 10days!”…

what normally comes to your mind?

At times, you are like: “I have finally seen the fast action” or “ This it what I have been looking for!”.

Of course that is what you are looking for- “A fast/ quick action”.

And after the fast action, what happens? You end up becoming disappointed with another “fast/quick action”. As you noticed that you had just added double of the weight you have lost. Just after a month of the first quick action.

The secret is that those diets that gives you “quick actions”, are based on the detox diets principle;

…some of these principle includes; going on only fluids, eating between 600 to 1000 calories, and in some cases, Absolute fasting for days.

and that’s why you are still here, because the “fast action” was meant to get the cash out of your pockets-so that you buy the products. Because, the marketers does not have the time to tell you the whole truth about proper weight loss.

And what happens after?

You fall back to your old weighty self.

If you are lucky to have read up to this point, I am going to reveal to you…

…the ways you could still use the same principle (Detox diets principle) to achieve a permanent weight loss. But you have to be ready to twist that principle a little bit.

The Truth;

…Is that detox diets are meant to detoxify your system and as well, jump-start the weight loss program.

I advice my clients; those of them that need motivation of “it is very much Possible to lose this weight”. To kick-off their weight loss program with detox diets…

This is because, when you see yourself lose between 7-13Kg in 12 days. You will be highly motivated to carry on with the development of the new lifestyle (attitude). This new lifestyle will aid you to further lose more weight in the subsequent weeks. And as well help you to keep off the lost weight permanently.

By now you could answer the reason why your earlier diet plans for weight loss failed to give you long lasting results.

This must have been a long post for just introducing you to “How You Can Lose 7-13kg in 12 days”.

Yes! Really long…

…every detail is meant to be properly spelled out for your better understanding…because I do not give info on temporary weight loss.

And, if you must get the real deal, it has to be long for proper detailing.

So, permit me to go on with the details…

…Thank you!

What are Really Detoxification(Detox) Diets…

Detox diets are becoming more popular than ever. And it is because it give fast temporal weight loss.

Detox diets are generally short-term dietary interventions designed to clean the blood and remove toxins from the body.

You would be right if you ask, “Is the body not designed naturally to remove toxins from itself?”

Of course, the body does remove toxins from itself…

…however, there are toxins that the body can’t easily remove. In fact, it may take the body years to be able to do that. And those toxins are stored in the body fat tissues or blood. Such chemical toxins are; persistent organic pollutants, including , pthalates, bisphenol A (BPA) and heavy metals.

…You don’t need to remember the strong names of these chemicals. Just, take notice of another advantage of detox diet…

…also with the presence of this toxins heavily store in you body fat tissues, you may not find it so easy to lose weight without first detoxifying your body.

A typical detox diet involves a period of fasting, followed by a strict diet of fruits, vegetables, fruit juices(smoothies-of course, natural) and water. Sometimes a detox also includes herbs, teas, supplements and colon cleansers.

These diets not only help you to lose weight. They also help with various health problems, including obesity, digestive issues, autoimmune diseases, inflammation, allergies, bloating and chronic fatigue.

There are no special diets called detox diets, or special ways of doing detox dieting…

…Rather,to do a detox diet, ranges from total starvation, fasts and juicing to simpler food modifications.

Most detox diets involve at least one of the following:

  • Fasting for 1–3 days (In some cases, 1-7days).
  • Eating between 500-1000 calories a day.
  • Drinking fresh fruit and vegetable juices, smoothies, water and tea.
  • Drinking only specific liquids, such as salted water or lemon juice.
  • Eliminating foods high in heavy metals, contaminants and allergens.
  • Taking supplements or herbs.
  • Avoiding all allergenic foods, and then slowly reintroducing them.
  • Using laxatives, colon cleansers or enemas.
  • Very little or no exercises.
  • Completely eliminating alcohol, coffee, cigarettes and refined sugar

The different detox diets vary in intensity and duration.

…Those of us that have used “Clean 9, Fit 1&2, Garcinia, Nutri-lean”. You could definitely understand what I mean right now. Anyway, those nutritional (detox)supplements are very good and work well. But you have got to use them wisely and correctly.

Currently, scientific studies have investigated the effectiveness of detox diets for losing weight. (At least, this one has a scientific backing…very important).

The detox diet significantly reduces body weight, body mass index, body fat percentage, and belly fat.

If a detox diet involves severe calorie restriction, then it will most certainly cause weight loss and improvements in metabolic health.

…Like I said earlier and will keep on saying it;

This type of “crash” dieting probably won’t lead to long-term results unless you change your lifestyle at the same time.

Do you know that there are benefits of detox diets which also help you to lose weight and give you better health?

There are a few aspects of detox diets that give good health and help weight loss.

…Look at them below:

  • Avoiding heavy metals and persistent organic pollutants.
  • Eliminating “toxins” from body fat by losing excessive fat.
  • Exercising and sweating regularly.
  • Eating whole, nutritious and healthy foods.
  • Avoiding processed foods.
  • Drinking water and green tea.
  • Limiting stress and getting good sleep.

Following these guidelines is generally linked with improved health and weight, no matter whether they involve a detox or not.

Of course the above reads more like a non-detox instructions…yes! I agree with you (only on the way it reads).

…but they are purely part of detoxification diet process.

Things you need to avoid if you must engage in Detox Dieting;
PS: Read this part clearly and carefully…

…detox diets are not meant for some persons.

Also, there are extents to which you can’t take detox dieting so that you do not put your life on the line.

===Children, pregnant women, lactating mothers, malnourished persons and very elderly ones should not be involved in some types of detox dieting (Say, fasting, or eating less that 1000calories per day, or living on fluids alone.)

===Avoid extreme fasting in the name of detox dieting(except you wish to star like Curtis Jackson in American “Things Fall Apart” movie, probably in the part 2). Get it right, anyway, if you must go without solid foods at all in a day, make sure that you have “energy supplements”. This will provide you with energy for your daily work.

===For those that will want to lose all the weight in a week. It can never be possible (Is as simple as that, stick that in your mind). So, never you go beyond 7days without solid food. Losing your muscles is not a good idea of losing weight. Do not go overdosing on detox diets, and the supplements.

Enough of the information;

Let me conclude so that you can move on to your next activities.

…It will not make sense, you keep reading and end up forgetting the earlier points that I have made.

But before you go, do take a look at these few paragraphs;

A lot has been said about how to lose good weight in a week with detox diet. And at this point, if you are still wondering how possible it is, why not go out there and give it a trial.

Detoxification dieting will help you lose as much as 13kg in 12 days. But, you have to do it right and build a positive and proper mindset around it. What am I saying; do not see detox diets as the final solution to you weight loss goal. Rather, see it at a starter sub-program, which will boost your morale to actually stay on the line of adopting a better lifestyle towards weight loss. And this lifestyle/attitude includes, to eat healthily, eat fruits, avoid junks, take lots of water and most importantly, exercise often.

With many detox diets out there, choose the one that suits you. Go on, Lose that weight and Build a better lifestyle, to keep the lost weight of permanently. And do not stop after the first 12 days or after losing the 13kg.
You may stop the detox diet, but do maintain the new lifestyle.

  1. Simple to follow. Make it and go. It took me over a week to be able to stomach the taste.
    I did see results and it did work for me. Maintain healthy eating.

  2. I would like to share my experience of the Lemon Detox Diet.

    I recently tried a short term low calorie diet which was quite successful but following two holidays, I felt a detox was in order. I did the Lemon Detox Diet for 5 days and i lost just under 4kg which was pretty good considering i had two slip ups.

    I felt strong throughout and the drink definitely keeps hunger at bay so all in all it was a pleasant experience.

    Thanks for this article

  3. This is a very shocking cleanse for your body. But the results are incredible. On the 4th day of the detox my calf muscles were hurting and I read that this is due to the body eating the toxins out of the muscles.

    Pretty crazy stuff. The lemon mix is quite tasty but it is no way filling. The best part for me was the lemon removing the mucous from my lungs as an ex smoker. I honestly feel this detox has added another 3 years to my life expectancy!

  4. This post is just wonderful.

    I’m currently doing this detox for a second time.
    First time trying definitely worked wonders. I did the 7 day Lemon Detox managed to lose just over 6kg’s by day 7.

  5. Lemon drink itself is a bit of a bitter sweet type of drink, I don’t mind it at all. Have found the first 2 days to be a challenge but once you get to day 3 it’s a total breeze. I don’t get hungry as long as I drink throughout the day I have found it keeps me feeling full and I often find myself going to the toilet regularly to flush it out of my system.

    Definitely feel more refreshing and cleansed by the end of each day and exercising on a regular basis contributes to the end results.

    Thanks!

  6. I sprained my ankle a week ago and I was already trying to lose weight so when this happen I was pretty devo. I already read this article some weeks ago.
    Well, I am on my 7th day today and I’m going great with my detox diet!! I had no intention to do this detox for 7 days but when I got to the 5th day I thought why stop now. I am going to continue and stop on the 10th day. I have already lost 6kgs and I feel amazing!!

    Thaks a Bunch…

  7. For sure I will do this detox at least a few times during the year and I highly recommend it anyone to try. Great info.

  8. I sprained my ankle from coming off my bmx bike, i didn’t want to get fat cause i’m immobile and cant do any type of cardio exercise and i have to rest and keep my ankle elevated so why not do a detox?

  9. Tomorrow is day 12 for me on Detox Diet. Last day!

    So far I’ve lost 6kg, feel so much lighter, fit into my clothes so much better and just feel cleaner!

    This was the reboot I needed!

  10. I was so skeptical about detox diets but am glad that I tried it. 8 Days gone.

    I’m expecting a 1-2kg gain when I start eating again but that’s normal! I’ve already started looking at food differently, thinking about what I’m putting in my body and what is going to make it work better.

    That was the whole point. To restart my brain and body in a positive way. It’s been very difficult especially when still cooking food for my daughter and not having an afternoon coffee or glass of wine at night! The hunger pains never stopped for me, I was always hungry so happy that I”m coming to the end. This was the reboot I needed!

    Detox Dieting is great and this post just makes a whole lot of sense!
