This is the fourth day of the tips that I give for simple ways to lose weight. And if you are just joining us today, you may definitely need to go and start from the last three posts in this blog.

…this is the continuation of what I started this week for all of us(Another significant 15 ways/steps to lose weight effectively).

 

Just as we all agreed, I am going to bring to you all “those simple ways to lose weight effectively”, which most of us are really ignorant of.

Of course, they are simple ways/steps, however, they work out perfectly well.

NB: This is going to last for the next few days. I urge you all, my esteemed readers(those interested in weight loss) to keep up with the posts so that you will get the full gist and ensure lasting positive weight loss result.

Today’s ways/steps(another 15) to lose weight effectively includes;

  • Reduce portions at mealtimes. That you live in a big world doesn’t guarantee why the portions you consume need to be super sized.

  • Measure portions one time to get an idea of what a portion of any given food should be. Do it once for each food that you commonly eat. Eventually, you will be able to “eyeball” a proper serving.

  • Keep a food diary of everything you eat. This is the first step to acquiring a new, healthier life style.

  • Wait no more than five hours between meals. This will help to stabilize your metabolism.

  • Use fresh or frozen fruits and vegetables. Canned veggies are okay in a pinch, but generally include more salt than you need. By the time they are canned and processed, they have lost much of their nutritive value.

  • Try different varieties of beans rather than sticking to the same old type you are accustomed to. Beans are a fantastic great source of energy, protein, minerals, and fiber.

  • Beware of misleading claims. Reduced fat merely means that the item has 25% less fat. Use common sense. If something “normally” contains 300 fat grams, then reduced fat means it still has over 200 grams of fat!

  • Eat slowly. Savor each bite. Take your time and enjoy eating. If you eat too fast, your stomach will be full long before the message to stop chewing down reaches your brain.

  • Ask yourself if you really tasted and enjoyed that last bite of food. If your answer is no, it’s time to slow down.

  • Clean your house (Doing few house keeping like changing bedding and sweeping around are great exercise!).

  • Take a brisk ten minute walk each morning, afternoon and evening.

  • Cover close distances with trekking,(Don’t ride or bike all the time). Picking lunch few blocks away from your office or home doesn’t require driving or biking.

  • Park your car at the farthest point in the parking lot. This will give you time to do few walking.

  • Learn a new dance.

  • Join a gym.
